I'm guessing the weight gain is due to not having a bowel movement everyday. That, and water weight can add up to a lot too. I retain about 12 pounds of water on my period!! Maybe your bowels have just not fully recovered from the lap and your body is holding in all that waste. Are you on any kind of fiber pills? Try that, and if that doesn't work I would have your doc run some tests to see if you have some kind of blockage. Just don't get back on the pill!! My specialist said estrogen in the pill stimulates endo to grow back. Hope this helps. Oh, if you have water weight, try Natrol™ herbal water pills, they have no caffeine, but make you pee alot. :) Good luck.
