I agree, keeping a journal helps me, too. Or actually, I keep two
diaries - I keep a personal diary, and I also keep track of my pain
levels and symptoms in a separate notebook - it can be very helpful with
the doctors, especially when discussing pain meds. (I try to keep it
separate from my personal stories so I don't have to worry about my
doctors reading embarassing stuff!) A pain diary can help find patterns
to symptoms, triggers, etc. - if you're having intestinal problems,
keeping track of what you eat might reveal problem foods. I think
keeping both journals helps me make some sense out of it all, and that
does me at least a little good!

>>>I never had a panic attack or depression until I was diagnosed with endo. My panic attacks were so bad that I can't count the times I went to the ER. Everyone there thought I was crazy ( or so I felt) the antidepressants and the nerve pills they gave me only lasted so long. Anyway...just know that you are not alone...many women who suffer from this do get panic attacks and they are not anything to be ashamed of. I am currently on klonopins for my panic attacks and I was on antidepressants for depression until recently. I only stopped taking the antidepressants because I was pregnant, and ended up having a miscarriage. I am trying to slowly get back on some type of medication, but I am leary of it because i feel that the antidpressants make my moods worse at times. Any way..hang in there...we are all here if ya need us. Just don't be ashamed of the panic attacks...they are real to those of us who experience them...don't let anyone tell you differently
