Re: ANY ADVICE???????From: anonymous@obgyn.netThu May 31 07:00:13 2007
Hey....it looks like we spent our weekend in the same place~the ER! I beat you though....I went 3 times! I first went at 4 AM Saturday.....all I needed for him to do was prescribe me a few pain pills to get me through the weekend but when I showed him my empty bottle of Lortab he said that they don't give that out in the ER.......no pain meds in the ER?!?! So, he gave me a shot of something that worked for about 6 hours and a prescription for some glorified Ibuprofen. Well, later that night the pain was so bad again that I could not walk (this was after taking ibuprofen with no avail)! My mom took me to the ER again and they gave me another shot and told me no prescription for pain meds~so I left! I already knew what was going to happen again before I could get in touch with my Dr on Tuesday.......but I still took ibuprofen around the clock with a hope it would keep the pain away......nope! Sometime Monday I could not take it anymore.....back to the ER! The best part is that the doctor got a little angry/smart with me about the fact that it was my 3rd visit.....I told him if I had been given something to take at home I would not have been back for another shot! He basically spoke to me like a druggie and told me that I still would not get the meds from the ER.....I replied that by the time the shot wore off my doctors office would be open to call a refill in (I tried to call for it the Thursday before but they were out till Tuesday....my luck)! I mean did he actually believe that I went to the ER 3 times (days) in a row just to get pills for a problem (he acted like) I was making up??? I had laprascopy 2 years ago for my Endo and it has decided to revisit my life~I knew it would be back but at least it gave me a few months of peace and freedom from pain and the pain pills! I refuse to do the Lupron because I have heard so many negative things about it....I have been on depoprovera and it worked fine until lately! I told my dr that I would have surgery again before doing Lupron~but he says by putting my depo shots closer together things sometime clear up on their own. My fingers are crossed.....but I won't know if it really helps for about 6 months! I hope everything goes well on your end! Christy
