Re: Dr Daiter - Ovarian Cysts

I did not hear about a NEGATIVE PREGNANCY TEST, since an ectopic pregnancy must be ruled out (even if you have been taking pills, if you miss days and ovulate a pregnancy may occur). Fertility doctors think everyone is pregnant until proven otherwise.

If you are not pregnant, then it is possible for a ruptured and bleeding ovarian cyst to cause this type of pain, though this should have been seen on the radiologic tests. If you "ripped" or tore an adhesion (scar tissue) by making an ovarian cyst in a certain location on the ovary that pulled the scar tissue in a different direction, then it may have torn. If the pain persists or increases you might need to consider a laparoscopy to examine the tissues for the cause. If you have a fever, then it could be infectious and may be able to be treated with antibiotics. Often, the "mystery pain" goes away spontaneously... but 10 days is a long time to be in pain.

Good luck
