Re: Lupron or other GnRH drugs to shrink endometriomasFrom: Angie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue May 22 10:47:40 2007
I'd be careful about taking it before the surgery, unless you've alread been diagnosed. I was on Birth controle when I had my first lap a year ago and they ended up not being able to confirm the diagnosis. A year off the meds and they tried again, this time they told me it was endo cause it was alot worse then last time. Last time I was in for about an hour. This time my husband said I was gone for over three. If the lupron shrinks it and they can see it then they can't remove it. Then when the lupron wears off, it's likely to come back worse. Or at least that's what I've read. Plus I tried Lupron after my first surgery and not only did it not help with the pain(the doctor said probably because of scarring) but the side effects were horrendouse.
