I am not too sure about the insurance issues, but it is somewhat
frustrating to see so many women told that their pain is not real when
it is due to treatable endometriosis. My office works with many
different insurances (and I am out of network with most of them) to
provide care for women and couples suffering from pain or infertility
associated with endometriosis. We are almost always able to get covered
for these treatments (I cannot remember a situation in which the
insurance did not cover the care). I don't know if that is just in NJ
or nation wide?? Anyway, all things being equal, I think that getting
specialist quality care for something as tricky as endometriosis makes
great sense whenever possible.
