For me stress does make it worse, but if I keep busy sometimes I don't notice it that much until I slow down and take a breather. So I guess what I'm saying is for me it's not worse during a busy day but when I come home from one it gets worse. As for the pain meds damaging your liver there is a very simple blood test for that and as long as you stay on top of it, having a little releif from the pain is worth it!
