Re: Fever and stitch abscess?

Hello,
I am the original poster responding to the post at the bottom of this!
Thanks also to those who responded to my question. It has taken my
incision about two weeks to not drain so much. My low grade fever is
finally going away too.
I did notice that my scars had hard areas around them, especially the
one that was draining. I have heard this is fairly common.
I also have had the nausea and get cold easy. I am tired always. It
takes some time. For some reason this surgery is taking longer than
others.
I would monitor your temp and continue to watch the incisions. You
could look at the advice Dr. Daiter gave me earlier. Of course, use
your own judgement and keep your doctors updated.
Good Luck,
Michelle

>I also had surgery laproscopic. 5 incisions were made to remove a 6 cm cyst. At first the doctor thought it was just an ovarian cyst and later found out that it is endometriosis. Well since then i have had problems and am not sure if i'm out of the red. Last week one of my incisions started leaking pus and clear liquid pretty bad. I went to the doctor and he said it was draining and keep gauze on it. He prescribed levaquin. It has been a week and the incison in still leaking. Not letting up much either. Two other incision marks have hard knots around them that are about two inches around it. Is this normal? How long before i can go back to work also? I have no fever either. But am very cold a lot and keep having nausea. I am constantly tired too. Anybody else ever have problems like this?
