Re: New to EndoFrom: D (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Apr 29 21:28:05 2007
I think you should try to get to an endo specialist who will excise the disease thoroughly. Another thing to think about is that it sounds like you have adhesions that may need to be removed, too. Does this doctor do excision, or does he burn the endo off? If he doesn't do excision, there's a greater chance the pain will come back and sooner. I would want a doctor with more confidence that they can remove all of the disease. Have you asked him what he'll do after the Lupron? The pain comes back for most women when they stop the Lupron and their menstrual cycles return. I hate to think that it would only be putting off a need for still more surgery! I wish I could give you more advice about the military medical system, I'd like to recommend the Endo Research Center's yahoo group because I know there are women in that group who have been through this with the military and may be able to give you some help in that regard: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/erc/ Good luck!
