Re: Endo diagnosis at 42 years oldFrom: Michelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Apr 29 12:20:29 2007
It does sound like you need to trust your instincts and go somewhere else. Though hysterectomy can help; everyone here will tell you it is not a cure! Many women continue to have problems with endo after hysterectomy because the endo was not removed or not all of it was found at surgery. The lesions then continue to cause problems, especially once hormone replacement is started (worse if started too soon). Did they treat any of the endo at your first surgery?? Please, your body knows, peoples' instincts are generally correct; when we try to rationalize we can get ourselves in trouble. Do find a doctor you are comfortable with, it will make ALL the difference. Michlle
