I am stingy with pain medication and usually give 30 percocets after laparoscopy. On the other hand, probably over 95% of the women only take advil (motrin, ibuprofen) for pain since it is more effective at reducing the inflammation causing the pain. Maybe you could try motrin to see if it eliminates the surgical pain.
