Question for Dr. Daiter

Dr. Daiter,

I have a question that is a little off topic for you regarding yeast infections. I had read on a medical school website that people can use a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxcide and a cup of water mixed into a squirt bottle and used as a douche to get rid of yeast infections.

I have seen a few other suggestions of home treatments for such suggestions or others. I don't like to use the boxed home treatments from the store and was looking for another way to solve the problem. I seem to have had more yeast infections since I started on my new BCP and since I have started cycling. I'm just wondering if this something that would possibly do damage or if it wouldn't work at all. Your professional opinion is much appreciated. Thank you for all the advice you have given on this board to us ladies. It is appreciated more than you know.

Have a nice weekend.
