Hey Michelle I had a laparatomy done in Jan of 07 and had some leaking, etc with the incision. Mine leaked a little blood and brownish color stuff. I had thought it was a sign of infection, but apparently not always. I called my doc and talked to a friend of the family that's a nurse and they told me to use warm compress and to cover it so we could see how much it was leaking. However I didn't run a fever except for one day. The problems with the incision only lasted like a couple days and was very little drainage. Hope this helps some.
