hello all- I just wanted to say thanks to all of you on this site for your support and encouragement. I was supposed to have my first lap today, but instead I fired my doctor. He kept saying "lets just take the ovary out" and I had really wanted to try to save it - especially because I have only a piece of the other one. Why dont doctors listen?

I also had a cold and a bloody nose today, and the anesthesiologist decided it would be best not to do the surgery today. This is the third time my surgery got postponed with the same doctor, so I am going to go with another doctor who is an expert in treating endo. This new doc in a RE and he thinks he can save the ovary, and was shocked that another doctor would even suggest taking it out. So...thanks to you all for your support. I don't know if it is the wisest decision to wait, but it is one that i feel more comfortable with today. Maybe I am just a chicken? I just hope that when the time comes, I am able to follow through. The last time I had to have surgery it was an emergency because my cyst had ruptured, and in many ways that was easier because I had no choice in the matter.

Well, thanks again to all of you for your support. I am trying to not beat myself up about this, but it is very hard. I am my own worst critic.
