Hi Carmy-I was diagnosed w/endo 11 years ago-the first time they cauterized and put me on b/c. After about 5 years-the pain was so bad-I could hardly function-so I went back for another lap, they found a "significant amount" never told me what stage, but said I had to do something about it-we decided to do 6 months of Lupron-and I have to tell you the same thing sunshine did. The side effects are awful-night sweats, moodiness, achy, hot flashes, increased migrains-and to top it off after I finished lupron I did 6 months of the birth control patch and 3 weeks afterwards got pregnant (one would've thought that was perfect for preventing this stuff to grow). I am now considering my third lap-so to take that god awful treatment of Lupron and find it was for nothing-really sucks. I would say if you are planning to have children and are comfortable doing so now-to do it. When weighing your medication options-research them all thouroughly including their side effects-you can do this on http://www.webmd.com and probably other sites as well if you have the name of the drugs.
