Re: Anyone been treated by Dr. Camran Nezhat in Palo Alto?

Hi Laura~

I am glad we happen to be on here at the same time :) I am so glad you are approaching this question with an open mind. I can tell that is a quality that is very important for you too. I am sure that Annon will come back with whatever information that is needed. If not then the best we all can always do is to not only run that google search but the DPR - Department of Professional Regulations in any state will allow one the opporunity to find out more too.

I am all about giving people a fair chance. I have to think sometimes being a Dr. is such a tough job. They pour their energies into a cause and some may do it more than others. Some may have better bed side manners than others, but to think if that was us putting our selves out there and something didn't turn out right or perfect is such an eye opener for me as well. I can live with a Dr. who has done his best and makes honest mistakes. I have to admidt I don't do well with the Dr.'s who dismiss that this pain is in our heads or we don't know what we are talking about. I had that early in my walk with endo. Now, I see me and my Dr.'s learning together, sharing and just trying to talk about what we think when I have questions vs. just putting it all into their hands. If I hear something that I am not comfortable with now, then I just tell them nicely I need to go home and think about it and I will get back to you. So far I have been very lucky to have Dr.'s that want to try or be honest with kindness. Don't get me wrong, I have had a few who gave up on me and I didn't let that crush me, I just looked at it as they went as far as they could and now it's time to see someone new who might be willing or able to take my case on.

I hope you find great things on this search for yourself. You found the very thing I bet Annon is referring to or I believe they are referring too. This laparoscope issue is a very sensitive one because it's very hard with any Dr. doing these types of procedures and not to have a full visual area at all times is a hard thing to work with. It's just par for the course. I worked for a surgical division company many years ago selling a variety of surgical and flexible scopes. There are limitations with equipment and visualation as well. See, there are two sides to everything. Not saying we shouldn't do our part to research our options but there are risks associated with anything. Unfortunatley this disease and it's management puts us up there a little higher than one would like to be but that's what we need to do to get things under control.

I think you will make a great choice :) Have a good weekend!
