Re: Anyone been treated by Dr. Camran Nezhat in Palo Alto?

Elisa,

Thank you for your post, I was just getting ready to write a similar one. I am the one who posted the original question. I HAVE googled Dr. Nezhat and many other MD's in my area. All off them, including the surgeon that did my original laparoscopy(who I like )have something negative written about them. I posted my original question just to see what PERSONAL experiences people had with Dr. Nezhat ( I didn't find any negative patient reports about him). I know about the lawsuits and some negative publicity, but I also know that there are always two sides to every story and that anyone that has as much exposure as the Nezhats are going to get some negative reports. I also know that no matter how competent you are that some patients will not have a good outcome and some just won't like you. The latest news articles report that he was exonerated and he is teaching laparoscopic skills at Stanford again. I also can't find anyone that says that he doesn't have great clinical talent. I work in a surgical department as an RN and have discussed his reputation with multiple surgeons and fellow RN's.

All of the information that I read about endo and laparoscopic treatment stresses the importance of having a surgeon highly skilled in laparoscopy and from what I have read he is it in my vicinity (San Francisco). I want to avoid having a mini-lap, if possible, which is what my current surgeon feels comfortable with for me. I have stage IV endo with multiple adhesions and endometriomas. So, if someone has any specific personal info regarding him, I'd like to know, but as for the stuff on the web I have already seen that. Thanks to those of you who shared their personal experiences with me.
