After Endo Bowel surgery; how long before things...work smoothly and don't hurt?

Hello All,

For those of you have had surgery on your bowels (full and partial thickness resections of the bowel); how long does it take to feel normal when eating and fulfilling the call of nature?

I am just over two weeks out from surgery and have had a sudden in increase in pain after having a few really great days. I was so happy to eat more and now I feel bloated and am in pain, but really don't want to take any more strong pain killers as this makes the whole call of nature thing even harder.

I am really happy with the surgery I just had, finally a great specialist, but have never had bowel surgery with previous endo surgeries. What are people's experiences with this? Please let me know!

Thank you, Michelle
