Yep, I'm taking all three and an anti inflammatory. Apparently it takes
much larger doses than 25mg of Elavil for it to function as an anti
depressant. According to all my docs 25-50 mg is often prescribed as a
sleep aid for people with chronic pain. My rheumatologist started me on
the Cymbalta at night because it can make you feel sick to your stomach
for the first couple of weeks and she didn't want me going through that
during the day. But, now that I am through that part taking it in the
morning definitely seems to be helping the sleep issue.
I'm sure the oily skin and pimples is the Loestrin too. I'm think it
has more progesterone in it than most and I have found that progesterone
makes my skin oilier as well.
So far I haven't had any problems taking all of this at the same time.
All of my doctors are in contact with each other and everyone is aware
of what the other is prescribing to deal with this mess. The only weird
side effects that I am having I would attribute to the Cymbalta (my
bladder has become awfully shy since I started taking it and it has
disrupted my already whacky bm's).
Feel free to pick my brain. This is a bit of a learning process for me
as well.
