Dear Natasha, First of all I will like to apologize coz English is not my native language and there can be some mistakes in this message. We do not share just the same name, but we share the same problem too. My surgery has been on 19. january 2007 (this year as you can see) and I was terrified!!! I have a severe endo and my doctor has to remove my right ovarii along with tube, coz I had a endo cyst as big as two chicken eggs. Also they have to clean left ovarii. (my state is so bad that the reason she had left my left ovarii is to let me have an opportunity to try have one child, since I have no children and I`m 30 years old.) But to be back on you now again. I can tell you this. DONT BE AFRAID. I have survived and you will too. Since my operation was in Serbia, with an old equipment and very bad conditions, you are in better position. The PROCEDURE here was like this: I was not aloud to take any food and drinks 12 hours before a surgery. They have gave me some cleansing thing to empty my stomach. Few hours before an operation they put something called catheter, (i am not sure is that the right word in English)with a bag so you can p... inside it and you dont need to go to bathroom. If you are still and calm it wont hurt you a bit. After that you are waiting to be called to surgery room, and before the surgery they will give you something to relax you, since I was like out of my mind. :( But dont be coz you wont feel a thing. The surgery took about 2 hours and after that I was able just to sleep and nothing else. The pain on your stomach when it is all over is not that large. I couldt get up on first day but I have managed on the day tomorow with a help of my dear husband , who was all the time with me. If you are not married , bring your best friend to be by your side before and after surgery, coz it will help you to have a soul mate within those days. It really means a lot when you are scared and it will help promise. That is all for the time and if you have any questions or you need a friend to help, mail me to may address: darko.tasha@hemo.net P.S. Also can send you a photo to see how the cut looks like on my belly. :) Its not bad at all. BE BRAVE AND MAY GOD BE WITH YOU Have my best regards and lot of positive energy, Natasha Djordjevic
