Hi Lori~

I am glad you were heard yesterday :) I would opt for the lap as well. What is in there will need be known (but I understand you want to spare your daughter as much as possible) To me it's the best visual tool to tell what is happening. The longer one goes the deeper it can go and sometimes things in those regions can not be seen by scope but via laparotomy.

I cringe to think about them talking about Lupron. If it was my daughter(again this is just me) I would say..."Hell...NO!!!". I have done both and even post hysterectomy and there is still problems. I had one Dr. who wanted to put me on Lupron again and I have no ovaries. I asked them how they could even suggest this without any target organs and they said "we treat cancer patients all the time like this". Good thing I stopped that mess. I can't imagine a 14 year old or any teen with newly forming hormones, feelings, etc. to have battle the rage and side effects of a drug that has caused more damaged than good.

I know there have been some successes and I don't want to take away from that but the damages I have heard about do not seem to be reflective of the numbers that TAP claims. The teenage suicide rates can go up so much more by adding this mess into their worlds. I know it's tough. Again, this is just my take on it. Others may feel differently and in the end I know you will make the best choice for your daughter. We are ALL here for you!!

Thinking of you...

I took her to a gyn. she never even examined her she just put her on the pill. my daughter still suffers with this problem and it seem that nobody will help her. her pediatrician kept asdking me if she was sexually abused. I could not believe that they were so persistant on that question without doing any other tests to find out what was wrong now they have my daughter beliving that she is making this up somehow that she should see a shrink. I am so angry . I sit up with my daughter almost every night while she puts hot packs on her stomacvhe and cries every time she has to pee. she has missed out on school dances and making friends because shes always sick . Why wont anyone help her I feel like i am in the twilight zone of a different era.where theres no medical technology. she is going to see a urologist on wednesday but i know they will probaly send her home with some kinda meds that wont help her. please someone tell me what to do >>
