Hi Melissa,I am also 26 years old and have had endo for about 5 years(thats when the pain started) I was diagnose last year, I have been on the Lupron for over 13 months and to be honest I havent got that much Luck from it, but I am not trying to discourage you to try it, because I hope and pray that if you do try it it'll work for you., If you get on it expect: menopausal symptoms,headaches/migraines, vaginal dryness, moodiness, hot flashes, depression, sometimes diarrhea and nausea. That is what I have been experiancing, but make sure that you take calcium with it. I have done ok with the Luprone about the first three months and when I first had taken it I also had the depo provera injected into me 3 days prior so when the lupron got in my system about 3 days after it was injected I had hardly any pain I felt like my old self again. I was sooooo sooooo very happy until the third month everything started going back to:severe pelvic pain, back pain, cramping in my stomach, and bowel movement pain, urinating pain, bloating and etc- you know the drill. It probably was because I was constantly late on my appts to get the injection, and just so you know that was not my fault at all I was ready and willing and begging to get that shot so what I am trying to say is is that make sure that you get the shot on time and also in my opinion the 11.25mg(3 month) works better then the 3.75(1month) I hope that I didnt discourage you because there has been alot of cases that women feel better and almost or pain free when they get on the Lupron I hope that you are one of them. Just make sure that you make your appts on time and if you have to call your gyno's office 2wks-a month before you are due to have your shot so they can order it. My gynos staff would take their sweet time getting it for me I would always call them weeks before my shot was due just so they would have it on hand, majority of the time they wouldnt have it then sometimes they would but when i got it when I was suppose to get it the Luprone helped me alot because it is so important to make sure you get it on time even a day early that is what my other gyno told me. I hope that this advice is what you are looking for and I wish you the Best of Luck Dont worry Luprone can be a good thing... The doctors also try the Luprone for about 6 months and they also put you on norethindrone which is estrogen if I remember right about the 4 or 5 month mark, but dont quote me on that cause that was a long time ago when I started taking that, but the norethindrone helps out alot with the hot flashes which is great!!! Well once again GOOD LUCK and Ill be praying that the Luprone will work for you!!! Also I hope your job is understanding!!!! GOD BLESS -Nicholette
