New painFrom: Leanan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Feb 28 09:44:51 2007
I'm just looking for, I don't know, reassurance, or maybe advice. Not really sure. I'm kind of scared right now, and frustrated, and nervous. I was diagnosed about 4 years ago with endometriosis. I had a laparoscopy and they removed my cyst and cauterized a couple of spots. Long story short, things have been pretty ok since then. Sometimes I'd have a horribly painful period, and sometimes I'd have pain during intimate moments, just like before, but not often enough to raise a flag. Well just the other day I started to have a real bad steady pain. I went to the doctors and was told it may be a bladder infection, or maybe the endometriosis came back, we'll do a urinalysis and try and figure it out. Great!! Just what I want to hear. So now all of my fears are back full force!! I'm young and haven't had any children yet, nor am I at a point in my life where that's going to happen soon. I feel like the longer I wait the worse it will be, and I just want to know if it's back, and the doctor can't tell me anything. I guess what I'm wondering is was anyone else cleared for years and then it came back? Does the pain in the side of the abdominal/pelvic region sound like anyone else's endometrial pain? Anything anyone can offer would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
