I know that this is not quite in the DC area, but I would suggest going
out to the doctors at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. I spent more than 10
years trying to figure out the source of my pain, and finally, after
being dismissed by my 2 gynecologists in Maryland, my primary care
doctor suggested that I go to JHU. I found wonderful doctors who have
been able to help me diagnose my endo(try the doctors at Greenspring
Station first) and who have performed a laparoscopy and a thoracosopy on
me. The Greenspring Station center does work with fertility issues, but
my insurance never raised any issues with it because my complaint and
treatment were for endo. It was just as though I was going to another
gynecologist.
