Re: I am still not diagnosedFrom: Cathy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Feb 23 18:31:16 2007
I'm on this site because I don't know what I have. Since I was nineteen I have had increasing severe dysmennoreah during and sometimes before my period, making me an invalid as much as one week if not more a month. Before I discovered Advil and Aleve I had to go to the ER at times the pain was so bad. I need to take as many as 3 triple doses of Aleve about 3 days during my period and now, even before to stop the excrutiating pain. I thought I had PMDD and now I hear that's mainly an emotional disorder. Could I have endometritritus (sp?). My doctors just act like I have PMDD and the pill will take of everything, but due to my smoking (I just quit) and my emotional swings and weight gain (I have major body-image issues) I never saw it through and antidepressants have not worked. Now I'm ready to try the pill -Nueva Ring this time, but know I'm thinking I may have something different than I thought. I also don't know whether my former gyno's idea of taking the pill so I never get my period is a good idea. I would love to hear any imput anyone may have.
