Dear K, It drives me nuts when I hear about docs treating endometriosis with a hysterectomy. By definition, endometriosis is endometrial tissue that is normally found inside the uterus, found outside of the uterus. By removing the uterus, you are in no way removing the endometriosis. As far as endo on your bowels, we frequently have women with this complaint. Most of the time, Dr.Redwine, and now Dr. Mosbrucker can remove the endo from the bowel without having to do a resection. We do not need a general surgeon, because Dr. Redwine has been doing bowel resection for so long and has done so many surguries for bowel endometriosis, he now has met the credentialing requirementsprivileges at our hospital to perform these procedures without a general surgeon present. Here's a link to Dr. Redwine's article on intestinal endometriosis, maybe this will help with some questions.

The best days to call our office, so we have time to answer questions is Tues, or Thurs, when the doctors are in surgery. Feel well, Peace, Deena
