Hi Ilea~

This is so true about the narcotics and what they can do. It's a common side effect but a problem when this happens. The only suggestion I can offer that helps me is using a pediatric dose of milk of magnesia. I use one tablespoon in the morning and one at night while taking my medicines. Right now my colon is severely adhered so I am sure that's why fiber products and even something as simple as raisens hurt and this dosage keeps things moving so I don't get colicky. A smaller amount daily may help too. It's just a little suggestion though I would certainly check with your Dr. and see what they think.

I hope this helps! Hang in there :)
