I have experienced mettleschmertz, as well. Doctors say it is a turning
of the ovary, and its awkward placement is what causes pain during
ovulation. I have a different take on what has caused it for me. I
suffered repeated sexual abuse as a child, and my internal organs were
accordingly pushed aside and turned. If you can get past the emotional
horror of that and consider what might happen to a small body when a
large object is repeatedly engaged, you might get a picture of some
unspoken damage that can occur. Of course doctors have no idea what
causes this - many of us women don't acknowledge this possible cause,
