Di Anna,

Did you have surgery to diagnose your endo? This is the only way it can be diagnosed. So, if you never had surgery, you will need to find an obgyn and have that done. However, if you were diagnosed 13 years ago and never received any treatment for it, I wonder if you really had it to begin with. A lot of doctors diagnose based on symptoms alone, which is not enough. The doctor must do surgery, and take biopsies. The biopsies have to go to pathology for a diagnosis to be made. If you did have surgery, after 13 years it is a good idea to have another one done. Medical advances allow for better removal of the endo, and with better removal comes better prognosis. Start by going to an obgyn who will take a detailed record of your story. Then go from there.

Good luck!
