Hello Melissa,
You should search this website for laparoscopy and you will find a lot
of useful info. Also do a search online search as well.
I hope you know what kind of surgery you are having. I also hope you
have asked your doctor about his/ her exprience with endo, what are the
average recurrence times in his/ her patients what method they will use
to remove it endo if they find it, whether they are comfortable removing
endo from anywhere they do find it, what kind of treatment you should
expect after the surgery etc. etc.
Please understand that there is no cure to endo. The best you can do
for yourself is to be aware of your options. Choose an experienced endo
specialist and try to have excision surgery with him/ her or at least
get a case review if nothing else.
Just be aware of your options. A bad surgery can cause many more
problems than fix any.
Good luck.
