Depo Provera side effects for me included:

-Loss of Sexual Desire

-Weight Gain (I'm always HUNGRY...Grrrr!!!)

I had the 3 month shot version for about a year. It helped with the pain and since I went right from Lupron to Depo, I never really had any periods. I did have a few times where I'd breakthrough bleed, and that was always around a month before my next shot. The only thing I must warn you of is that Depo Provera is used as a punishment for sexual crimes in males. Depo Provera is one drug that is used for "chemical castration" in males. While it doesn't cause the same side effects in everyone, it did affect me personally. I just recently switched to Seasonale. I hope it's better!
