Hi Ladies, Just wanted to mention to be careful about asking your current doctor about excision. You really want to be sure you are seeing a very experienced surgeon for that, especially if you have endo in difficult areas like the bowel or bladder. The thing that sets your average surgeon apart from one of the few specialists is the specialist's advanced training in recognizing endo in all of its forms as well as having the skill to deal with delicate areas. My regular gyno claims to have excised my endo during my last lap, but I have not had any relief. So, I would just be sure that if you talk to your doctor about it that he/she is VERY experienced, if not ask them to recommend you to a specialist or seek one out yourself. Alyson
