Re: Any helpful Advice?

find an endo specialist who can remove the disease thoroughly by laparoscopic excision. There are links at the bottom of this that should help.

Hormonal treatments are bandaids at best, they have many side effects and usually (if they help in the first place) the endo comes back when you stop them. You can only take Lupron for 2 6-month courses, so what would you do after that?

Stay away from doctors who burn the endo off - it's ineffective because they can't go deep enough to remove it all. Most women who have had multiple laps had laser ablation or some other kind of burning off of their endo, and it comes back.

It's good you are going to talk to your doctor - make sure you learn as much as you can because most doctors don't know much about this disease. You may find that you know more than the doctor! (if so, get another doc)
