I think birth control pills can help with the pain if the right one if found. However, I think the pills just cover up the fact that endo is going on even if pain is not felt. I have had pills that made it soooo much worse. One caused me awful clots and terrible pain. Ironically, Seasonale worked for me. It did get worse before it got better and was about a year for me before it worked. Stay away for sure from pills with higher estrogen with varying doses during the month...they really make it worse. Continuous dose, higher progesterone types are typically better (albeit not always!).

I would be afraid to try depo! I glad it helped you for a little while. I took Lupron for six months and after I stopped everything was much worse even with the pills. It took some time for things to get back to what I am used to living with. After taking depo for eight years I would guess your body is trying to adjust to all the changes.

I am going to try excisonal surgery in the early part of this year and am hopeful.....

Good Luck to you.
