I think it can in the respect that it can bind your organs together. The staging criteria for endo is not only based on the amount of endo that you have, but whether or not you have extensive adhesions. Women with stage IV are diagnosed at that level based on having endometriosis as well as severe adhesions binding the ovaries and other organs. Where as stage II refers to having endo in specific areas, but lacking the presence of adhesions. Alyson
