Hi I'm currently on Loestrin FE and Prometrium to prevent periods for
now. I broke through on every single pill that my dr put me on till the
Loestrin. I have been on Loestrin since August. The only time I have
bled on it was when I had my lap in October. Since then I have been
period free since Nov 8th. I also take Prometrium as a double whammy to
prevent breakthrough bleeding. I take the prometrium days 12-21 of the
pill pack.I take the Loestrin continuously. I did notice in November
and December that my adhesions were back after the surgery, however they
were not NEARLY as bad as it was before. Before surgery and the
Loestrin, I was on massive amounts of Motrin and then had a rx for
Darvocet which didn't touch the pain. Now I still cycle, but no
bleeding. The pain that I get so far has been easily taken care of with
800mg of Motrin every 8 hours. I can't say how january will be as I had
knee reconstruction surgery and have been on Lortab for my knee since
the surgery. But hey I guess if I did have pain there it would work for
both places. From what my orthopedist said, I'll be on Lortab for the
next few months because I am facing months of rehab on my knee. The
loestrin fe has had very little side effects for me and is low estrogen.
