Hi Alyson,

I would be more than happy to share with you whatever information would be helpful. When I was trying to get pregnant with my first son, I tried on my own for a while (about 8 months) and nothing, so my ob/gyn suggested seeing a fertility specialist. I went to see them and they started taking blood from me i think every other day, or something like that. They wanted to keep track of certain hormones and help me in finding the best days to try to conceive (i believe they have over-the-counter products that can help predict the same thing). Anyway...the first month i went there and in the middle of them doing the constant blood work, i became pregnant on my own. Very lucky! W/ my second son, i was trying for a while and was just about to start taking clomid and i became pregnant again. I was very lucky both times. I don't think it is usually that easy for women w/ these two problems. It really depends on where your endo is and how bad it is. After my last lap, i only had a little endo, but my ovaries looked horrible and i had so many adhesions, that many of my organs were stuck together. They were able to free up my organs and get rid of some of the endo. it was shortly after that lap that i became pregnant, so i don't know if that had anything to do w/ it. I don't know much about how PCOS contributes to preventing pregnancy, but would be more than happy to do some research and let you know what i find. I hope i was able to help a little, if you have any questions that are more specific (i don't know if i am being too broad in my answers), please feel free to email me directly. i wish you all the luck in the world in becoming pregnant soon and having a healthy pregnancy and baby. Let me know if there is anything i cando to help.

good luck kristen
