Re: Low Ogestral

Hi Christa! I take low ogestral (generic for lo-ovral) pills and have taken them for years. Right now, I take them continuously, meaning no break from active pills each month so I don't have regular periods. I "force" a period 4 times a year by stopping the active pills for a week. It does help to control my pain from endo, especially taking them continuously as I do now. It is a temporary fix and even on the pills, I still have problems with endo but I think it would be much worse if I did not take them. Lo-ovral is one of the pills with a pretty low dose of estrogen so that seems to help the endo stay somewhat controlled.

I hope it helps you too. I have no experience with depo provera but have done Lupron a few times with success. Please feel free to email me direct if you would like to talk more.

Good luck! Amy Meyer
