Unfortunately there isn't alot of information out there about pleural endo. From what I have been told it is pretty rare. I too have chest pain. I've been having it on my left side for about a year and a half now. It sometimes radiates to the right or shoots under my armpit on the left and down my arm. I've had chest x-rays, EKG's, echo cardio grams, stress test, anti inflamatories, Nexium....all tests come up clear, no meds work. Some one here suggested that it is caused by your hormones. I plan on seeing an endocrinologist to see if I have a hormone imbalance/sensitivity or something along those lines. I do know that estrogen plays a role in heart function in women. >From what little I know about pleural endo the pain "should be" cyclical
with your period and can often cause a wracking cough as it will leave fluid in your lung from the bleeding of the implants. I don't think it would be diagnosed during a typical laproscopy unless your doctor already suspects it, or you had shared these symptoms or asked him to look for it in that location. Most doctors would not look for endo in rare areas as part of their normal proceedure. Alyson
