Re: LAPEX Scheduled for 7 March!From: Alyson (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Dec 22 12:01:29 2006
I am assuming you are headed to the CEC? A friend who had surgery there had these suggestions: -Stay at one of the hotels they recommend. They are used to having surgical patients and offer shuttle service to post op appointments, shuttles to get prescriptions filled, will place you on a first floor room, etc. -Let the airline know prior to your returning flight that you are a couple of days post op. They will get you a wheel chair to the terminal and board you first. -If you can swing it (frequent flier miles perhaps) see about getting a first class seat for the return flight. Or when you purchase your ticket call an associate at the airline to do so. Tell them what you are doing and ask that they try to get you a bulk head seat if you are flying coach. (That way you will have a little more room to try to get comfortable.) She had nothing but wonderful things to say about the doctors and nursing staff there. Good luck! Alyson
