I can't speak to the hysteroscopy, but I was on Aygestin for several months. My doc prescribed it in place of continuous bcp's to treat my endo. I didn't have any serious side effects. I developed alot of acne (face and back), found that it made my skin quite oily, and had some weight gain. I was originally on 5mg/day. When it wasn't helping my doc upped it to 10mg/day. That's when I started having aweful night sweats, hot flashes and all that fun stuff. I eventually quit taking it because I didn't seem to be getting any benefit. Alyson
