Good luck with the surgery Tara. Sounds like you are travelling out of town for the surgery, I did that too. Make sure that you have a post-op appointment scheduled and talk with your doctor about what he found, and what comes next.

Other than that, I had three incisions and found it really hard to sit upright for a couple of weeks for extended time periods. I used a small pillow and a heating pad a lot after the surgery. Make sure you force yourself to walk some around to displace the gas to prevent adhesions. Please do not push yourself physically after the surgery for at least 3 weeks even if you start feeling better :)
