changing symptoms?From: karen (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Dec 19 09:28:15 2006
Hello - I've been dealinng with bad endo symptoms for almost two years, and over that time my symptoms have gotten worse, but they also have gradually changed. Has anyone else noticed this? I hope this isn't too much information! but foor a long time I had a lot of bowel problems, mostly pain and bloating, but also narrow stools, and before I took birth control pills continuously I had diarrhea and some blood in my stool arouund my period. The past four months or so the bowel pain has lessened a bit, and my stools are normal size again, but I've still got a lot of abdominal/pelvic pain and nausea, and I'm having more pain lower in my pelvis, including pains that run down my legs especially from my groin to my knee on the left leg, and sciatic-type pain in the backs of my legs and lower back. The leg pain is different from the pelvic pain - it burns more than aches. Sometimes just sitting aggravates it, and I can definitely feel it when I stretch. The nausea is still bad and sort of gettinng worse, it can come on very quickly out of no where, and sometimes makes me weak and shakey and occasionally I vomit. Is this "normal" for symptoms to change? I am guessing that since endo grows it is just becoming more active in some areas, and less in others? I'd love to hear any ideas or comparable experiences. I'm going to an endo specialist next month, but may not be able to have surgery for a few more months because of my job. But I'm in pain management so hopefully they can keep me going until then! Thank you!
