black thick blood??From: Gemma (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Dec 15 09:05:23 2006
Hi, Really desperate to know if you can help me. OK the story is my mothers sister (my aunty) had endometriosis and i think i might be suffering form it aswell. I have have been to the doctor but she just told me to go home and write a menstrual diary for 4 months!!! I need to know NOW. Im 18 and first got my periods when i was 12y they were normal red blood for about a year and my periods for about the last 4 to 5 years have been very thick and dark and Very painful so painfull that i have to have prescribed pain killers. and over the last 6 or more months my period blood has been all Black and so think the blood wont even soak into my pad or tampon, there is hardley a sign of normal red blood. And also the there is hardley any black blood either if i didnt change my pad i wouldnt even fill 1 a day. I dont know if this is relevent but it thought to mention that after i started these symptoms i fell pregnant about a year later and i had a condition called amniotic band syndrome and had to have an abortion just thought it might have happened to someone with endometriosis aswell. Thanks for reading i hope there is someone who can help me
