On October 28th I woke up out of my sleep at around 2:30 in the morning for what I thought was very unusual pain. It felt like a pulsating pulling and a throbbing all in one. I had been in pain for that entire week and had been bleeding but didn't know what from. I tried to get out of bed to use the bathroom because i thought maybe it was gas or something but it hurt even more. Once I got back in bed my husband asked was I okay and I told him that I would try to go back to sleep, but 10 minutes later I was asking him to take me to the emergency room because the pain was unbearable. Long story short I ended up being admitted to the hospital and having emergency surgery the following day, a cyst had ruptured causing a tremendous amount of blood under my uterus which by itself is dangerous. The doctor started to do a laparoscopy and ended up having to a laperotomy (full abdominal surgery) because there was too much damage that needed to be addressed. I do have stage IV endo and because of all of the damage it caused over the years, my bowels were literally stuck to the uterus, my right ovary was displaced behind the uterus, my left fallopian tube was 3X the normal size and I have fibroids all over my uterus. My fallopian tubes are permanently blocked and I never would have known this if I hadn't have gone to the emergency room. I am not saying that your case is this tragic, but the importance of taking care of this could be imperative. Don't put it to the side and think it will go away. Take care of yourself the best you can as to avoid any worsening issues. I hope this helps. > Okay now I am a little nervous! I don't know what I should do about seeing a doctor. I got the earliest appointment I could at my new doctor's office so my only other option would be to either call their office with an emergency or go to the ER. Based on this reply to my post I wish I had done that at the time I was having the pain just to be on the safe side. I don't know what I was thinking. But now I am not experiencing any pain so I feel kind of silly going to the ER. I was sore for a few days after the pain episode in the area of my ovaries but other than that I have not experienced any pain since that night (or immediately before for that matter). I can only hope my situation is not as severe as the poster who replied to my original message. I don't remember my doctor telling me what stage endo I have when I had my first lap so I don't know how bad it is. Although, if both painful episodes I had in the last two years were cysts bursting, then those plus the one I had removed mean I am on par to have about one cyst a year. I don't know if that is a lot or a little. Well thanks for your the response and I hope you are doing better!
