Re: Endometrosis-AmritakoulFrom: Alyson (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Dec 7 08:16:09 2006
Amritakoul, Without knowing too much about your situation...it is entirely possible that depending on your surgeon's skill level and method of removal, there were endo implants missed or not completely removed. If that is the case the endo can grow back causing blockages of fallopian tubes, etc. However, there could be any number of things contributing to your inability to conceive. Has your doctor done any hormone testing, etc.? There has been some discussion as well of endometriosis creating an unfavorable environment (biochemically) for conception. If you are not in a position to seek a surgical specialist, you may want to try some alternative methods in the meantime. There is a book called Endometriosis: A Key to Healing and Fertility through Nutrition by Dian Shepperson Mills (available on Amazon.com) that discusses the different biochemical and hormonal reactions that can be affected by endometriosis and other pelvic diseases. It then provides dietary suggestions of foods to avoid that may act similar to hormones when digested. I have also heard of women having success with accupuncture when attempting to conceive. Those are just some ideas you may want to look into in addition to researching other treatment options. Also try this web site endo-resolved.com It has some helpful information. Alyson
