I think you would probably be surprised how much you rely on your abs
even when using arm weights. Maybe stick with the light cycling for a
bit longer. It took me well over a month before I was really
comfortable using any kind of wieghts. Your body did just go through
alot and it may take a little longer to fully heal than you would
anticipate.
