Re: Bad pain even after two Vicodin - normal with endo?

That much pain can be "usual," yes. Vicodin barely touches my pain - I'm on a fentanyl patch and percocet, and I still sometimes have pain that puts me down on the couch for days at a time. I'm also in pain all month long, and besides the pelvic/abdominal, get pain down the inner-front part of my thighs, and some lower back pain, too. And a lot of nausea, and some vomiting - the nausea can actually be worse than the pain.

About the possibility of bowel endo - colonoscopies won't show it unless it's gone through the bowel wall, which is rare. Usually it's on the outside of the bowel. It also won't typically show on MRIs. I don't understand why your surgeon didn't remove the endo if he saw it? What method did he use, laser ablation (burning it off), or did he excise it (cut it out)?

Did the urologist test you for interstitial cystitis? That might account for the bladder issues you've had. If not, you might want to ask a doctor about that.

Hope this helps!
