First of all, you do not have to take Lupron, or any other drug! It is totally your own choice! I suggest looking for an endometriosis specialist. Here are a few websites that may help: http://www.pelvicpain.com/ http://www.centerforendo.com/ http://www.endometriosistreatment.org/ http://www.endoexcision.com/ All of those sites have a lot of very helpful information about endo and I'm sure other women here can recommend others - although doctors who are truly skilled and experienced enough to treat endo successfully are sadly uncommon. Most OB/GYNs are not qualified to treat endo. It's horrible that your doctor told you that your endo couldn't be removed from your bowel - what she should have said was that SHE couldn't remove it. She should have had a bowel surgeon working with her, or she should have referred you to a doctor who COULD remove it. It is definitely possible to do. You are doing the right thing - learn as much about endo as possible, and seek out better doctors who will help you. You should also get a good understanding of how your health insurance works, because getting them to cover endo specialists can be tricky. Insurance companies generally regard all OB/GYNs as equivalent specialists, when they are not, especially when it comes to this stuff! I hope this helps!
