I have been diagnosed with endometriosis for about fifteen years now. I had a laparascopy in 1994 and 1995 and then got pregnant with my son and two years later with my daughter. I did okay without pain for a while, but then had a reoccurence in 1999. I had another laproscope, and my doctor feels that I also have adenomyosis. My pain then was right over my bladder and felt like rocks were scraping each other in my bladder. I could have sworn I had a bladder infection, but didn't. Early on and throughout I have been to a urologist and gastroenterologist. I have had two colonoscopies, one because during gallbladder surgery, my doctor saw what he thought was endometriosis on my colon. He also took my appendix due to endometriosis during that gallbladder surgery. I just had another laproscopic procedure on September 22 of this year. I have been in pain every single day since. My pain is worse before and after my cycle, even worse than while on my cycle. I get terrible low back and tailbone pain and pain down my legs and the usual frontal pelvic pain. I am sitting here now in horrific pain that I awakened with around 5:00 a.m. I took two Vicodin and I am still in pain. It only took a very little edge off. The other day the pain was so bad that I took two Vicodin and two Aleve (three hours after the Vicodin) and I was still in pain. Is anyone elses pain this bad and constant?? I even went to a spinal specialist just to be sure I didn't have some tumor or something on my spine. I had an MRI, but it was okay. I guess it is just hard to accept that anyone can be in this much pain and not be in ICU or something. Is this kind of pain usual with endo???
